Podiatry is the brand of medicine that involves the treatment of illnesses, injury, and disease of the anatomy below the knee. Whether it is a skin, nerve, vascular, muscle, or bone/joint concern, Dr. Marsh and the staff at Coastal Foot and Ankle handle it all. Please give us the opportunity to assist you with your podiatric concerns and needs.
As the only foot and ankle specialist within a 70 mile radius, Dr. Marsh has served the residents of the Forgotten Coast since 2001. Coastal Foot and Ankle Clinic quickly grew from its humble roots. The current modern office is nestled beside a beautiful, 200 year-old oak tree on Highway 98 as you enter the west end of Apalachicola’s Historic District.
Although we are in a quaint area of the Gulf Coast, we practice with all the current modalities and technologies that you might expect only in a large, metropolitan office. In 2003, our clinic was the first in the area to change to an electronic health record. This makes our notes easy to read and transport to other physicians. Your prescriptions are electronically sent to the pharmacy before you leave the treatment room. X-rays are taken on site during your initial visit. Since the x-rays are digitally processed and immediately placed in your electronic health records, Dr. Marsh is able to quickly review the x-ray results with you on the first visit.
Dr. Marsh is board certified in foot surgery and deemed a Diplomat by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. She is also a Fellow with the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Coastal Foot and Ankle Clinic is equipped to perform most skin and nail procedures on site, including biopsies to test for cancer. For more complex bone surgeries, arthroscopy and joint implants, Dr. Marsh operates at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Gulf in Port St. Joe. She also maintains hospital privileges at Weems Memorial Hospital in Apalachicola.
Coastal Foot and Ankle Clinic is stocked with durable medical equipment, such as walking boots and ankle braces. We perform on site casting for fractures, custom shoe inserts (orthotics), and ankle-foot orthotics (AFOs). We also support our treatment plans with relevant retail items for sell in the office. These items include cushions/pads, pain gels, fungal treatments for nails and skin, compression socks, and shoe inserts.
Dr. Marsh and her staff at Coastal Foot and Ankle Clinic have a clear mission statement: “Big City medicine with small town compassion.” Please allow us to help you get back on your feet.
